I really enjoyed general conference yesterday evening, as well as today’s sessions. I am definitely feeling inspired!

My little Em-ster today after school.
I love her to pieces!

Carlos has been off work for almost 2 weeks now. He had a lower lumbar sprain which was causing sciatica. The first week was harder on him. This last week he has been feeling much better. Today we took advantage of his time off and went out to surprise Carlitos at work.
I had just been out to visit Carlitos at work a little over a month ago. Back then, this nice cement foundation was a big pile of dirt.
You can see a picture of it Here
They don’t work at the same site everyday, so it was nice to see the improvement here over the last month. I love all the hard work that he has been learning to do.
It really was nice to spend this little extra time with Carlitos, just the 3 of us….plus Ian 😉 I hope Carlitos knows how proud we are of him.
After treating Carlitos to lunch, Carlos took me to one of our favorite spots.
We took a little walk and a couple of pics. It felt really nice to be back here together. This was where we were married. <3
Ashley had her first basketball game (ever), today!!
The gym at the school they played at was kind of dark. Sorry, the picture quality isn’t great. Carlos and I are just so happy that she is trying a new sport. I always wanted to be the kind of parent that supported their children in their interests and encouraged them to try new sports and activities.
Their team lost, but I think this was a great learning experience for this group of girls.
Wednesday, October 10th
Emily had her last soccer game of the season this evening.
Here she is doing a throw-in. Since it was the last game of the season, we did team pictures. Carlos also put little treat bags together for the kids. Take a peak of our team picture session here.
Thursday, October 11th
During Ashley’s soccer practice today, Carlitos took the girls on a Slurpee run! Don’t they look happy?
Friday, October 12th
The band along with the color guard and the cheer squad during the half time show.
It was a good Friday night!
I love how David looks up to Jose.
I love your blogs. Please don’t stop!
I don’t blog nearly as often as I’d like, but I’ll keep trying. Thank you for taking time to read while you are on your long trip.
