A New Year….A New Day Planner

dsc01825I have been so excited to start using this day planner. Now that it is the new year, I can finally start using it!

There are many reasons why this day planner is great. Here are just a few of them:

dsc01830At the beginning of each month, it has a general overview of a monthly calendar. This is where I keep track of appointments, sports or band practices, church activities and birthdays etc.

dsc01832After the monthly calendar page, there are weekly pages as well. This is where I can get break my planning down into individual parts of the day. I still write down appointments and practices on this page as well, but I also schedule in time for household chores and other things that I would like to accomplish during the week, that don’t have a set time. There is also a handy to-do list on the left. At the top there is a little check box area, where you can check off reading scriptures for day and at least one daily prayer. There are fill-in spots to add other things on the check list.dsc01833Here is a closer look at the right page from above. I love the little boxes at the bottom to plan different tasks for each day. For example, Wednesday is my primary prep day. I picked Wednesday, because our presidency meetings are usually on Wednesday nights. Therefore, I would do my prep that day. Also, if I had sharing time for that month, I would plan my lesson that day as well.dsc01828This is my old 2016 day planner. You can see that this was very cramped. This week was also a week where there was no school, so you can imagine what the other weeks looked like! It was pretty cramped. 20161229_171452There is a big difference in size as well. 20161229_171207There are lots of bonuses as well with this day planner. Each month has a relationship page, where you can set goals to strengthen your relationship with the important people in your life. There is also a monthly budget page and family home evening page…..I could go on and on20161229_164334There is a scripture reading chart for all the standard works. Also, a monthly Sunday page where you can jot down things that come to mind during your church meetings etc. There is so much to this day planner and it is all versatile, so you can tailor it to your specific needs.

Now you can see why I have been so excited to start using this day planner! The funny thing, is right before my birthday, I stumbled across these planners through a pin I saved on pinterest, which led to the website where these planners are sold. My dad asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I told him about this planner, and he got me it for my birthday!

This planner is called the Mormon Mom Planner. If you are not LDS, they also have non-denominational planners too. These planners are cute and have good inspirational quotes. Visit https://intheleafytreetops.com and check these planners out!
