March, Week 2

Monday, March 12th

After the unexpected things that happened in February, we got back into our home school “3” school routine. This week’s letter was the letter “O.”

The theme was community helpers. David really enjoyed the book. He also had some fun playing in the community helpers sensory bin.

When the girls came home from school, Emily asked if she could play with the sensory bin. It turns out that she and Ian enjoyed it much more than David did. Eventually, the toys came out and it was just a bin with beans, but they played together for quite a while.

Tuesday, March 13th

Today was the first game of the season. I was lucky enough to be able to see both of my boys score. The whole team played a good game.

We had some friends from church come to watch the boys play. I guess Carlitos has been handing out schedules, as this is his senior year and final season of soccer. It was really cool to have them there with us. Our team won with a final score of 4-3. 🙂

Wednesday, March 14th

You all know that soccer practice started a couple of weeks ago. I finally took a picture at practice today. Here Ashley is with some of the cuties that play on her team.

Thursday, March 15th

The boys’ second game of the season was an away game. It was a couple of hours away, but it was in the direction of my grandma’s house. So, I was able to pick her up on the way there.

Jose with a smile on his face. Just what I like to see.

Cute little David during the game.

Carlitos #14

Our team won with a final score of 4-2. Jose scored two of those goals. Great game and good company. It is always nice to see grandma! At this game I realized that she has made it two one soccer game this season, she made it to one of Jose’s basketball games during the winter season, Carlitos’ cross country districts in the fall and one of the district soccer games last spring. That is one game a season for the last 4 seasons…..even though she lives 2 hours away! What an awesome Great Grandma!

Today was another away game for our boys and it was another non-league game which meant traveling about 2 hours. It was quite cold so we had to bundle up. Jose was the man of the game with a hat trick! Carlitos also scored a goal as well! Final score was 9-0. That brings their team to a total of 3 W’s and 0 L’s.
