September Week 1

Monday, September 3rd ~ Labor Day

We spend this year’s Labor Day at home. We planned to BBQ, so Jose invited his girl friend, Belle over. Carlos got out the pool for the younger kids and we invited one of Ashley’s friend Tayli over.

The kids enjoyed their time in the pool and playing in the yard. We BBQ’d for lunch. This year’s Labor Day menu consisted of grilled chicken legs, carne asada, and hot hot dogs. We had lots of food, as we were BBQing for 9 people, plus we wanted to have leftovers for dinner. My favorite were the grilled flat iron stakes. Carlos cooked them to perfection! For sides, we had macaroni salad, pickles and carrot slices, dorritos and popcorn. I tossed in some red and blue mnm’s and that kind of became our dessert. Most of the food I didn’t get pictures of, but there are few above.

Tuesday, September 4th

Today I took Ashley on a much needed Mommy-Daughter date. I picked her up from school, we grabbed lunch and found a nice place to eat.

Wednesday, September 5th

Emily, my little rosebud in her outfit of the day!

Her shirt says, “Como la Flor”, which is a title of song by one of my favorite singers, Selena.

Today, we headed out to visit Carlitos at work during his lunch break. Here is the a picture of the job site he was working at. Eventually, there will be a hardware store there. To see the job site a month later, read October, Week 2.

We headed to the beach. It felt so good to be there, as we had not made it to the beach yet in 2018.

Beach shadow pics. David and his little shadow is so cute!

Emily had her first game of the season this evening. She was a little nervous, but none the less happy.

Here is a pic of my cute coach husband. I love that he takes the time to coach all of our kids in soccer. No matter how busy he gets, he has never said no to coaching one of their teams.

Friday, September 7th

Tonight was the night of the big rivarly football game, between our town and the town next to us. The riverarly is the oldest in our state.

Nothing like some good old Friday night lights and my favorite band!

Saturday, September 8th

Today we went to a parade to see Jose preform in the marching band. Ashley also had her first soccer game of the season.

In this picture, Ashley is on the ground grabbing the ball. Way to go goalie!

They won…..way to go galaxy girls!
