1st Week of May

Last week was a really busy, but here are some of my favorites highlights from the week. 🙂

Thursday, May 4th

The boys and their varsity team won their final league game today, to become the league champions!!

Viernes, El 5 de Mayo

Feliz Cinco de Mayo! The girls participated in a Cinco de Mayo celebration. My sweet little Emily. She looks so dainty! lol

Emily and her group of kids, ages 5-8 danced to “La Fiesta del Mariachi.” This is Emily and her friend Emily. 😉

Ashley and her group of boys and girls danced to “La Raspa.” Here is Ashley’s dance partner, Mark. All the kids did a great job dancing! I am proud of them.

Saturday, May 6th

Here is a little side story about Carlitos. He is going to be a leader at a church camp this summer. The camp was having an overnighter for leaders the day before prom. (We knew about prom, before we knew about the overnighter). Although the camp is located 1.5 hours from where we live, he chose to go anyway. Even though that meant cutting it close to getting back, getting his haircut and getting ready for prom. I was proud of him for making the right choice. 🙂

Here he is all ready to go! Carlos and I were able to take pictures of him before he left, but were unable to follow him over to his date’s house to take pictures of them together before they headed out. We had to hit the road, because Ashley had a soccer game about 30 minutes from where we live. I didn’t realize how this whole prom thing was going to hit me, until Carlitos was pulling out of the driveway! My eyes teared up!!! This was his first date and  his first prom!!

Luckily, Kacey’s mom took some pictures and shared them with me. <3

This is a group of great kids. They drove out-of-town to go to a nice dinner before prom. Andres and Carlos play soccer together too.

I love my Carlitos!!!! He is a good kid and I am thankful that Heavenly Father blessed me with him.

Here’s to another busy week!!!!
