Last Week of April

Monday, April 24th

The kiddos enjoying their after school snack. This was way more exciting for them than crackers or a granola bar. I love the fact that they love to eat fruit. šŸ™‚

Soon after we headed over to the high school for the boys’ soccer game.

Jose scored the first goal of the game! It was pretty cool, because it happened within the first 90 seconds of the game!

The second goal of the game was made by Carlitos! What a lucky game these brothers had. Carlitos is #14, and for some reason Jose is on the ground. (lol I didn’t even realize he was on the ground until I looked at these pictures later.)

These two pictures were taken consecutively. There is Carlitos with the ball and next thing you know he is down in the box. This was just a few minutes after Carlitos made his goal.

One of their teammates, Connor took the penalty kick and scored!

They won their game with a final score of 8-1. (Jose scored one more time during the 2nd half) In the league standings, they are now 4 and 1.

You know I had to get a picture of my two goal scorers after the game! I love my boys!!!

Tuesday, April 25th

Riot, Kayla, Calvin, Ashley & Katherine

This was my group of 3rd graders that I had while chaperoning Ashley’s field trip.

We hiked a local trail where we went bird watching and learned about the environment around the trail.

Thursday, April 27th

I snapped this cute picture while we were in the waiting room at the doctor’s office. I captured the brotherly love, right? šŸ˜‰ Jose had an appt for his knees, which had been bothering him all season long. As it turned out, he only had a bad contusion on one of his knees. The bruise was long gone and we were worried it might be something else. As for the other knee, we need to make an appt with Jose’ podiatrist. The good news is that Jose can still play soccer!

The boys had another soccer game that evening, they won 2-1. Jose scored the game winning goal at the beginning of the 2nd half. I did not have my camera out though, it was windy and I was cold. Plus sometimes it can be hard to take pictures at games with the little ones.

Friday, April 28th

We were able to see my youngest sister today. We got pizza and went to watch the JV team play an away game. My boys don’t play on the JV team, but my husband is the JV coach, plus many of the boys’ friends play on the JV team.

After the game we went to the park. My little ones enjoyed having their Auntie around to play with.

Saturday, April 29th

We went out-of-town for a clan gathering today. Where many members of my Grandma Sandy’s side of the family meets for brunch. Here I am with 3 out of my 6 siblings. These 3 live in a different state, Maria, Alex & Kyle. It was nice to see them, but it never seems to last long enough.Ā Here is a pic of my kiddos. They were the youngest generation there. They were posing for their great grandma and I took a quick pic too.

The clan gathering had some new people who I had never met before. They are descendants of my great-great grandma! The oldest of the 3 was my Grandma Sandy’s 1st cousin. His son and grandson were with them. So I met a 3rd cousin! I’ve never met any of my 3rd cousins before, so that was pretty cool! They live out-of-state as well.

While we were out-of-town, we did some shopping. Here is David at the sporting goods store.

Can you tell that somebody likes football?!

That evening we went to Chuck E. Cheese for dinner. The little ones had been pretty good all day long and Chuck E. Cheese was their treat! We had been gone for over 12 hours! Jose was awesome and took David to play games. David really enjoyed that. Busy Saturday!
